Three Wishes
Magic and science combine to make even mortals forces to be reckoned with here; they share the world with the avatars of gods and channelers of nature, though it's not an easy pairing.
It has been three hundred years since the end of the great Konan-Kutou war, and the land has gone through many changes: chiefest among them is the missing Taiitsukun and the emergence of the Empress-Regent ruling in her stead; in the name of peace and harmony, lives are regulated under the empire to the extent that even the worship of the Beast Gods is outlawed.
Without the spiritual strength of their followers and without Taiitsukun, the linchpin of the world who supports the physical realms of Heaven and Earth, the gods are losing their powers and the world is slowly falling to pieces and sinking into unreality. In desperation, the pooled powers of the gods have sent several copies of the Four Gods Heaven and Earth into the modern world of 2008, widening the pool of possible priestesses to channel their powers and save the world from destruction.
Three Wishes is a fantasy Asian steampunk game inspired by a conglomeration of Fushigi Yuugi, the Onmyodo, and Chinese Astrology. The character concepts are vast and varied, ranging from an avatar of the gods to a secret magician to a powerful bureaucrat. There are both pregenerated character positions and original characters available, and there's always something going on in the chatbox. Come check it out!
