One of the oldest anime series ever making its day view back in 1977 (before my time and probably you too). While only 26 episodes have been show on Cartoon Network there are 3 series with the second having over 155 episodes. The series focuses on international thief Arsène Lupin III. He is joined by Daisuke Jigen, Lupin's closest ally; Fujiko Mine, and a few others. Do anyone remember seeing this show back on cartoon network?

I never got to see the show, but I love the Lupin movies I've seen. ^_^

Haha, I've seen a few episodes but none of the movies. I take it the movies are good, are any of them connected in any way are they all stand alone movies?

I think they're pretty much standalone. However, they do have basic connections, based off his jacket color. There are a few older movies, from the first Lupin series, where he has a green jacket. Most of the films are from the era of the second series (I think this is the one from AS), where he has a red jacket. Then there's one movie for the infamous pink jacket series, but I haven't heard good things about his pink jacket appearances. ^_^;
They are great though, although a few I've seen are dead boring to me for some reason. I'd recommend Dragon of Doom as one of the better ones.

Pink Jacket appearances? I haven't seen any of those and I'm glad I haven't. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll have to look into the Dragon of Doom. I do remember the show also having boring moments at times. However still a show worth watching.

I'll be giving the show a shot, once I get the money and can find it. Being an anime fan was never cheap, and it just keeps getting more expensive.

True but that is the price you pay for being a fan of anything. I will search for a place as well to watch the show, I haven't seen nearly enough of the show. I've only seen ten episodes in on particular order.

Since the series was dubbed by Geneon the DVDs are practically impossible to find.
Also, FUNimation (the ones who dub and release the movies) have recently acquired several different shows from both Geneon and ADV.
It's been rumored that Lupin III is one of them.

They confirmed a bunch of their Geneon acquisitions, and alas Lupin wasn't among them. But, they could always get it later, few other companies will be vying for it I'm sure.
