Anyone remember this show that used to come on Toonami?
I dont rememeber it well, since I never saw the first episode, and missed all the background information
But I do know he used to slay people, but vowed not to kill again?
What happened?

Rurouni Kenshin... the best of the best. You are not an Anime fan if you do not like this show. That is Anime rule 2: LOVE Rurouni Kenshin
rule number 1 is: Watch Anime all the time.

Rurouni Kenshin was a great series, however it got full of fillers after the Kyoto ark so I stopped watching it. I like most of the anime, though. Very good characters and a good plot. Kenshin rules!

Kenshin was the fourth anime I ever saw. I loved it! I watched every episode! After the kyoto deal..it had fillers than got kicked off. I have all the manga books so I know what happens.
Kenshin accidnetally killed the woman he loved years ago during the war, thats why he made the vow to never kill again. You don't find this out until A LOT later in the series...that is also how he ended up getting the second half of the cross shaped If I am remembering correctly. He gave himself the second half in the form of rememberence, the first half came from a battle with Saito.

<_< I really wish they didnt take it off the air. It was the inuyasha of its time. Without the really long delay to get pieces of the plot together

The anime is done, they just never aired the rest of it in america. Go to animefuel and you can watch the entire series...all the way up to the end.^^

If you REALLY want the ultimate Kenshin, I recommend the manga. The fillers you speak of killed the anime before it got to end really, the manga has the final arc, which is the best story in the series. ^_^

I been watching this a lot more lately. Normal when I felt the need to watch Kenshin swing his sword around knocking people out. I watch two or three episodes at most. Now I seem to be watching the whole series over again; only two find out I have forgotten alot about it.
I found out not to long ago that it was the Samurai X OVAs that came before the Anime we know today. I didn't know that at all.

I've actually been coming back to Rurouni Kenshin lately. I've always loved the show since Toonami. It does pretty well for itself.
