The story begins once the Anime has ended, but slightly different. The homunculi have been defeated, Al is in his normal body, and Ed has returned from the other side of the Gate. For some reason, the largest group ever in history has passed the Alchemy exams this year, and all the Alchemists are extremely powerful.
