Prologue

Cosmochildren, humans with supernatural talents. Able to do things no one thought possible. Over the last few years the number of them has grown to new levels. They have started to appear in more and more places. As they did so, the government stepped in, and split them into groups. The Rebels and the Benedicts. But, the real question is simple. How many of them... Were Rebels before the government stepped in. Before the Government or anyone, even knew of them.

"Get 'em!" only a few feet a head of the 6 benedicts was a single male, heading for the Scenic Region just outside the city. The Benedicts had found him setting up explosives around a small building. As soon as he saw them, he took off and they followed behind. Once they entered the region, the man they were after... disappeared. No sight, no sound, no smell, no nothing. He was gone like that. The Benedicts couldn't believe he had just ran away and stood, back to back, just in case he attacked.

Suddenly, blood sprayed outward from the belly of one of benedicts. He looked down to see a long sharp metal blade sticking right out from his gut. Before falling to the ground, he turned his head to see the man they had been after. His cold, emotionless, face was the last thing that benedict saw just before having the sword pulled out and falling to the ground... dead. The others looked at the man as he now appeared before them. One of them ran at him in anger. His power showing it self as a kind of water-dragon that appeared from a near by puddle.

As he ran at the man with the sword, he disappeared yet again. This time, re-appearing much faster. Right behind the benedict with the water-dragon. The dripping sound of blood echoed amongst the trees as the benedict's head, slowly fell to the ground and the Water-Dragon dissipated. It wasn't long before all, but one were dead. Killed by the swordsman cosmochild. The only benedict left was Kai Jahichi. He sat on the ground with the swordsman's blade to his neck. "H-How, who...w-what kind of Cosmochild are you?"

"Cosmochild? Is that what they call our kind?"
Kai was confused, what else would they be called? The Swordsman's blade pushed more on the neck. making it bleed only a little. "Tell your Human master's... The Cell will come, to end them." The swordsman pulled the blade back and held it outward away from himself. A small flash of light and the sword disappeared. Kai rubbed his neck and stood up to watch the man walk away. "Who the hell are you?" He asked. The man didn't stop and kept walking on as he said, "Why should I... tell a weakling like you?" Kai hated to be insulted. He raised his fist and it started to char and blacken. He punched a tree and it went up in a blaze of fire. "WHO ARE YOU CALLING 'WEAKLING'??!!" He shouted just before he took off toward the man.

One again, the man disappeared. A sharp pain went from Kai's right shoulder to his left side. The man had appeared behind him and slashed down with the sword. "I will not kill you. Until you give them the message." This time the man disappeared for good. Kai fell to his knee in pain and looked around before calling for aid. By the time they came to help him; he had past out from loss of blood.

Who--- Who are the Cell?

Chapter I: Who are they?

Benedict HQ, where all the Benedicts of the city come every once in a while. Lately they have been seen more and more due to the lact of hunts for Rebels. Not many of them care enough anymore, or they have been taken away for tests. In the middle of the room sat three Benedicts. Zainzu Brokku, Kai Jahichi, and Taishi Vender. Kai had just been released from the Medical Aid after being treated for a large cut on his shoulder and back. "So he was fast?" ask Zainzu, he had been trying to put what Kai was taking about together. "I'm not sure. It wasn't like he flashed out of view with speed, but more like he just plain Disappeared and re-appeared behind me." Kai told them of the Cosmochild he and 5 other Benedicts were after only 3 days ago.
"So your telling me. This guy 'summons' a sword, of all things' kill the 5 benedicts that went to stop him and leaves you alive to give the government a message about something called, 'The Cell'?" Taishi had a hard time believing any of it. In his mind he couldn't think how anyone would be able to kill 5 Benedicts by themself. It just didn't fit.

"Did you ever find the guy's name in the records?" Zainzu was just as confused as Taishi, but he believed it. He knows there are many Cosmochildren out there and there are some MUCH more powerful then others. "Yeah, I did."
"Will, lets hear it."

"Kenjin Ryuki, The Kruoken." Zainzu started to laugh. He had only hared that name in old history book. Kenjin Ryuki AKA The Kruoken or the Darkblade. This man was a small time legend in swordsmanship. 200 years ago he disappeared, and was never found. "Theres no way. How could a human live that long. Maybe you got the wrong picture in the files?" Kai shook his head; he had the right picture. He remembered the guys face very well. Kai looked at Taishi, a follow swordsmen, knowing that he would love to hear more now that the name of a swordsmen of the past was said. "It's possible that he found he could live longer then a normal human and went into hiding. Thinking that people wouldn't look for him." He remembered the records well, every time he read through them he would remember it just in case.

"Ask for this 'Cell' I know nothing." Kai said as he looked back and forth at Zainzu and Taishi. It wasn't long before other Benedicts came over to them and ask about Kai's story. They wanted to know just as much. In case they ran into this guy. When telling the story, one of them left the room after hearing the mentioning of The Cell. He went right for the head office of the section that controlled the Benedict and Cosmochild parts of the military. After telling the story to the leader himself he was given the order to send more guards around the city. They had only hared of this "Cell" once and paid it no mind. That was a mistake and a whole city was frozen over in a block of ice afterward. This time they didn't want to find out whar this "Swordsman" could do. After the talk in the HQ Zainzu left for a walk around the city.

It wasn't soon before he found someone to hunt. He found a man with a simple power of reading the minds of others. Zainzu walked up to the man and smiled. "I guess I could easy on you, being weak and all, but wheres the fun in that.” Zainzu the began to change his body. His skin became black, and he had sharp claws and fangs. His eyes were blood red; he smiled as he walked closer. Suddenly the mind reader looked to his left, knowing someone was there... watching. At 1st Zainzu didn't care, but then he saw more fear in the mind reader's eyes when he looked toward the other. He stepped back and looked in the same way. "Come out or I'll kill him!" he said in a booming voice. It was then the pain went through his chest as a large cut appeared across him. The blood covered the ground as he fell to his knees. "What the F***!!" He shouted; trying to see what hit him. He looked around before seeing he wasn't the only one to be hit. The Mind Reader had lost his head.

Blood pooled on the ground and Zainzu got to his feet as fast as he could, and then readied himself in case of another attack. "I see your the same as the other." a voice echoed from the area behind Zainzu. As fast as he could, he turned to see his attacker. A man, about 6 foot,175lbs, slinder, and semi-long blond hair, stood right in fornt of him. His face was cold and emotionless and he stared at him with dead eyes. He looked to be in his 30s, but Zainzu already knew how old he was. He smiled before he spoke, "So he was right. You are Kenjin Ryuki..." The emotionless eye, twitched as he spoke the man's name. "You are too smart for your own good. I'll fix that problem." Kenjin held his hand outward away from his body. After a small flash of light a katana appeared in his hand. The blade was sharpen and hilt was red. The sword itself gave off its own feel, as if it was alive. Zainzu knew that couldn't be, or maybe just apart of Kenjin's power.
"You gonna kill me?"

"Yes."

"You can try, old man." Zainzu's form started to change back to normal, but kept its claws and fangs. He placed his hands on the ground and pushed himself off. He flashed out sight and seemed to appear behind Kenjin. "I'll Kill You 1st, Old Man!" He said out loud. Zainzu slashed down at Kenjin with the sharp claws. It seemed to hit him, but there was no cut, no blood. Suddenly Kenjin disappeared. Once again Zainzu felt the stinging pain of the cut go through his body as Kenjin slashed down his back. "I win." was all he said. Zainzu fell to the ground. He didn't have the power to get back up and only layed there as Kenjin swung the sword toward his neck. Before the killing was finished, the sound of a bullet hitting the ground echoed in the street. A helicopter shown a bright light on Kenjin. "I don't have time to play, so you can live a little longer." He disappeared, leaving no way to follow him. Zainzu passed out before he knew what had happened.

'I don't have time to play' .... What does that mean? 'So you can live a little longer' ... I could have died.

Chapter II: The Unseen Hand of Death & The blade of Truth


"I knew this would happen." standing atop a building was a man. He wore gray long-sleeve shirt under a short-sleeve black shirt and blue jeans. He stood there watching as the government lifted the benedict into the helicopter. "Can't you go anywhere without making trouble... Its not that hard, Kenjin." The man hopped down from where he was standing and landed on the roadway. As soon as he hit the ground 3 soldiers ran up to him and aimed.

"I should be more careful, I wasn't meant to be seen." The three soldiers knew he was a cosmochild and slowly stepped back. "And you think I can let you go?" after saying that, two of the soldiers dropped and the other opened fire. A spray of bullets came flying out of the rifle aimed at the man; all aimed at the man. Suddenly the soldier felt a hand grab his throat and he was lifted into the air.

"My power is simple. As you can see I have both my visible hands in my pockets, yet I'm holding you by the throat and chocking you with another hand. You want to know how? Well I'll--" the man watched as the soldier stopped trying to get loose and shoot off a flair.

"Stupid human." the soldier's head was crushed by an unknown force and the man took off running. When the man stopped running he found himself facing two other cosmochildren. The man stared at the two females. They stood at ready, they had ready seen what the man can do. Even though they have yet to guess what his powers are at all.

“So, are you gonna try to kill us too?” The 1st one of them asked. The other, a girl named, Anano didn't take her eyes off him. In case he tried something. The girl, Layra did most of the talking. “Maybe... it all matters on the question. Are you goin to remain in my way?” The man spoke in a cold hearted voice, he cared nothing for their lives and could kill them without a 2nd thought.
“So what if we are, you want fight---” Anano suddenly felt something grab a hold of her neck and she was lifted a good 3 feet into the air. Layra looked at Anano, then back to the man; who hadn't moved at all.

“You were saying?” The man looked on them with cold eyes. Layra changed herself into a wolf and started running at the man for a head on attack. But, she was knocked back by an unknown; unseen force. “Come now, I thought Rebel CosmoChildren would have been much stronger then---” The man's word were cut short when he was blind-sided by Kenjin; who came out of nowhere. Whatever grip the man had on Anano was released, and Layra watched as her friend fell to the ground and hit her head on the hard concrete below her. Kenjin called the man by his name, Dante, and then told him to leave the foolish rebels alone. “We have more important things to get down. I assume that you know that and are going to help me find him.” Layra watched as Dante and Kenjin spoke. This is my Chance! She thought to herself. She started at Kenjin who had his back turned to her, but was suddenly stopped by the same force that knocked her back the 1st time.

“If you want to do something that matters...” Kenjin had turned to look at her. She watched as his sword appeared in his right hand. He held it up and rested it on his shoulder. Reaching into his pocket, he started to walk over to her. Layra turned back into a human form and looked at the now waking up Anano. Kenjin now stood in fornt of Layra; holding a picture to her eye sight. “Have you ever seen this man?”

Chapter III: Power be, Dirge

“Yeah.... thats the name hes goes by.” Kenjin and Dante took Layra and Anano to an empty building to talk. Anano was patched up and Layra was telling them about the man in the picture. “So, he has showed his face. d**nit Dirge!” Kenjin slammed his fist into the wall, while Dante remained emotionless.
“They say he appeared and started building up a group of Rebels. Only, they were acting as if they weren't after the government, but everyone.” Anano lifted her head to add on to the conversation, “He also attacked the city center, killing many of the cosmochildren that were hiding there.”

“I take it your either gonna join him or---” Kenjin cut her off, “That thought of joining that fool sickens me!” Dante stood up and looked out the window to check if they were being watched. “So, thats all you know?” he asked looked back at Layra and Anano.

“Yes.”

“If you want to know more, try finding the Rebel Hacker, Mer.”

“Yeah, he would know MUCH more.” Said Anano standing up. She looked at Layra and soon they left. Dante was about to follow them to finish them off from earlier, but Kenjin was quick to stop him. “We don't have time for them. We need to find this, 'Mer'...” Kenjin opened the back door and suddenly disappeared. Dante watched as Kenjin was no longer before him. “Well, I think I'll search the city Internet cafes. After all, that girl did call him a 'hacker'.”
Dante walked out of the building with his hand deep in his pockets and his emotionless face.

As Dante walked down the roads he remembered when he and Kenjin started looked for Dirge. They were under orders from the Cell's leaders. The meeting played through his mind like a bad movie.

'Dante Yonutso, and Kenjin Ryuki... You two are the strongest of all the Cell's other soldiers. We have called you two for a grave mission. Dirge has left us and taken important information. Find him, kill him if you must, and bring that information back to us. The world outside our city is not ready for us. Now Go...'

The visions of the meeting with the oldest 'CosmoChildren' is the Cell was odd to him. “What information can be so bad for the Cell if found by the humans in the government. The Cell has twice the power of any creature in the world and could most likely crush the government. Things aren't adding up right.” As he talked too himself; he realized he was being followed.

He stopped and turned to see who it was. A woman, no more then 20 years old. Oddly dressed in a Gothic style, with blond hair and very small bat wing on her back. Of cross the were fake. He looked confused as to why this girl would follow him. “You that guy that kill those mean people without moving earlier... Right?” She asked with a big smile of her face. “Yes, aren't you afraid of me?” She just walked around him smiling.

He could tell she was a 'Cosmochild' and wasn't really here to fight. “My brother wants my to give you a message. He says that he wants to fight you in the Scenic Region tomorrow.”

“The Scenic Region, eh?”

“Uh-huh”

“Sure, what's his name.”

“Kiba.” She smiled even wider as she said the name, “And my name is, Michiko.” Dante had already started to walk off after getting Kiba's name. “Don't you wanna know where in the---” “I can find him just fine with his name.” Dante smiled as he walked off leaving her behind. So he hoped.

Chapter IV, PART I: The Insane, Kiba

After giving the message to Dante. Michiko went to tell her brother the good news. She walked up to an old building that looked like it was a old Hospital. No longer taking people in it was the best place for, Kiba, to hide himself from the eyes of the Government & the Rebels. Michiko walked into the hospital and went up the stairs until she reached the 8th floor. As she walked through the hallway, other followers of Kiba appeared from the doors. Some former Benedicts like Kiba and some new found CosmoChildren.

When she walked through the door into the last room in the hallway. The old church room for the hospital; she found Kiba looking at the half burned cross on the wall. The Church room looked like it had caught fire sometime ago. “Kiba-kun! He said yes!” She said as loud as she could without making it a fuss. Kiba didn't move much, only his head to look back at Michiko. When he looked at her she was all smiles, as she always is. “Good girl...” He turned and started walking for the door. As he past her, he reached out his hand and patted her on the head. “Michiko-chan, follower the other one. Once I defeat this one I want to fight him next.” The door to the room closed and she jumped like a happy school girl.

Its not normal for Brother to think well of me, or even pat my head like that. He must be in a REALLY good mood. She thought to herself. Michiko happly followed her brother to the much larger room in the hospital underground. There, there were many other cosmochildren and they followed under Kiba's rule. It was a whole organization that was lead by him. Michiko sat in the back while the others stood waiting for his orders. Kiba walked up to a stage that was red from what looked like blood from fighting. Kiba stood on it and looked at all the others.

“They have shown themselves!” He shouted, and the cosmochildren said nothing. “The Cell is real and they ARE HERE!!” After he mentioned 'the cell' everyone cheered. For 3 years, Kiba had been hunting its members and trying to find the Cell. He left the benedicts to search and killed many people. He was obsessed with finding it. He had heard legends about it from the doctor that used to take care of him in the Benedict Corps. The stories said that an Organization was formed years ago that was to protect the race of evolved humans. Kiba became more and more intrigued when he learned of how powerful its members are.

“Kiba, The Cell are to powerful even for you. Also, they've been in hiding since the time of the samurai's rule on Japan.” Kiba looked on his followers and proceaded to exclaim, “And Now. We will find and kill them. We... The Order of Death!!” As he yelled out to his followers they cheered and Michiko smiled greatly. “Do you think it wise for himt o be doing this, Michiko-chan?” A stood behind her. His coat covering his body, arm and all. “It doesn't mater. If its what brother wants. You worry too much Kuro-kun.” He nodded and continued to look on as Kiba pulled on a sheet. When it fell, the symbol of the Scythe-Moon was on the wall.

Michiko-chan, I know Kiba is your brother and all. But, I do not trust him. If hes trys anything against you. I'll kill him. Kuro disappeared and Michiko watched as Kiba happly smiled to his thoughts of victory.

CHAPTER IV, PART II: Dirge, The Strong

Kenjin walked down the sidewalk in the city. He watched as normal humans walked by looking at him for his choice in clothes. I guess I should have tried to blind in a little. As he walked to the city center he noticed a great TV screen on the side of one the buildings. It was playing the news; he watched for only a minute to see if anything would be said. “I guess I won't find---” Suddenly and loud booming noise came from the screen. When Kenjin looked up at it. It was cracked in many places of it. When he looked at where the cracks started he could see and hole in the center of the screen. As he watched he saw someone appear in the hole. He stood on the edge of the hole and Kenjin who it was, Dirge.

He jumped down and punched at a moving car sending it fly into the air with the driver still in it. He looked up at the other people near by and was soon surrounded by benedicts. Hey all attacked at once and all were knocked back on the backs. Dirge lifted up and near by car and throw it at one of them; crushing them. Without thinking, Kenjin summoned his sword and ran toward them. It wasn't long before Benedict were around him too. Dirge looked toward Kenjin and started to run off before he was shoot from a sniper on the roof of one the building. He went down for a secant and stood back up. He looked right at the sniper. Dirge walked to the building, grabbed the wall, and lunched himself upward. He used enough force, that with the one pull up. He flow to the roof and landed behind the sniper. “Stupid human... this is for your own good.” The soldier turned and pulled out his pistol. Before he could started shooting Dirge had pulled his fist back for a punch to the roof top. When his hand hit the concreat, the roof caved in and they both fall through it. The soldier died in the fall, but Dirge walked out without a problem.

Kenjin watched as this was the 1st time he had seen Drige's powers in use.

I never thought that such a power could be. Near unlimited strength... Steel skin... and no respect for the lives of others. What kind of creature is he Kenjin knocked down the the benedict he ran toward the are he last saw Dirge. But, he had already left. Kenjin could feel his anger getting to him. He couldn't help himself anymore, “DIRGE!!!--- I'LL GET YOU, YOU CREATURE OF DEATH!!”

Supernatural Characteristics

Power:

• Wind being: Kenjin is able to join with the wind. Not just in one place, but all wind. This allows him to disappear and leave no smell behind to hide his tracks. Unlike normal wind he is fully able to control the wind once he becomes it. This allows him to travail among the wind and appeared behind enemies for attacks or spy on people to gather intel.
  
  
• Wind touch: As long as he hold it, anything his touches can also become wind and hidden from the sight of others. This allows Kenjin to hide his most used weapon, The Kazeken[Wind Blade] and other unseen weapons he has yet to use.
  
  
• Live long: Kenjin seem to be able to live past the normal age of human deaths. At a point in his live his body stop aging and so did he. His current appearance is that of the 25 year old Kenjin.
  

Weakness: Kenjin has had many years to work out of his faults and make him near unbeatable. But, even he has his weaknesses. He can only hold his wind form a good 10 minutes and then change back into a human. This, however, doesn't count for his weapons as they are smell enough objects to remain hidden within the wind around him..

Strengths Kenjin is a skilled swordsman from Japan's past. He even want as far to earn the name, The Kuroken, at the age of 16; after he killed 20 soldiers with only his sword.


Background

Personality: Kenjin is rather multi-sided in his thinking. You really never know just how he will do something. Fighting for him is easy to hide he emotion and focus on the battle at hand, but when it comes down to living normally he just becomes the nicest guy you could know. Kenjin is cool-headed guy and loves to sit and watch people pass by.

He will often enough help people out if asked and sometimes without. He may seem cold hearted at times, but that is mostly when he knows something bad and wants to protect them.

History: On Kenjin's 24^th he found he had power he control. He would be walked down a road and randomly disappear into the wind. With fear of being hated he went into hiding and soon found a group like hi called the Cell. This group was only about 3 people. Kyosuke, Dirge, and Jasten; the leaders of the group. Kenjin could see just how power these people were and asked if he could join with them.

Not only did they say yes, but Kyosuke offered to train him in how to control his powers. As he trained with Kyosuke he learned more and more of his power and find he could also live much longer then anyone else. It was 50 years later that he was given the sword Kazeken and command of the military operations in the cell. It was now his job to make sure the cell remained hidden from the humans.

While Kenjin learned about his powers, the cell grow and grow. By the times of his command it was big enough to be a small army. Kyosuke & Dirge started plans to build an underground city for them all. Before the plan were finished Kyosuke disappeared, and Dirge turned control of the cell to a counsel. As this counsel grow in the Cell they took away Kenjin's command so that if they ever had need to fight he could be on the field.

One day, Dirge disappeared with secret plans the counsel had been looking over and Kenjin was ordered, along with Dante Yonutso, to find and bring him back. At any cost.

Power: He has what must people call an extra hand. With simple thought, Dante is able to chock people to death and even cut through steel. The only factor about it is that he needs his opponents to remain within his view.

He is able to find people with only knowing their name. Once he is given a name, he has five hours to locate that person or he was lose them.

Weakness: His power is ineffective if he cannot see.

He must know the 1st name, and he must find said person within five hours.

Strengths He is able to lift heavy objects and throw them at will. He can also cut through steel and stop bullets.


Background

Personality: Somewhat unstable, mainly when he is hurt. He will seem to changed from his normal up-beat personality into a highly deadly & violante

Likes: doesn't care

Dislikes: same as above.

History: He is known in the cell as its ultimate killer. He had only been with them for 5 years before the current events, but he looks to Kenjin as a friend and teacher. He would never betray him. No matter the cost.

Chapter VII: Death Become Thee


Kenjin and Dante walked down a dirt road in the woods. Form information they had found in town; the man called, Mer, was in hiding some near by. The wind blow by slowly, and quietly. “Dante, that man you killed. Kiba, way is it you killed him?” Dante stopped, with a shocked look. Kenjin stopped shortly after. “Why not, If I didn't he would have kill me or gotten away and killed others.”

“I guess so.”

“What would you have done?”

“I guess the same thing. C'mon, lets go.” They both started walking again and soon came across another road. This one different for its tire tracks in the dirt. After following it for a few miles they found an odd building. A kind of Broadcast station with a rather large satellite antenna on the roof. “If I'm right. Thats where this Mer would be hiding. Woulda think?” Dante said turning to see Kenjin had already disappeared and flown his way over to the buildings front doors.

By the time Dante showed up Kenjin had just about had enough trying to open the two double doors. It was his own fault not to see that he was pulling them open when there was a sign that said push... Dante smiled, a rare thing, and pushed open the two doors. “Remember old man, the door is your friend. Hahaha.” At 1st Kenjin wasn't in the mood for jokes about his age and lack of future upgrades such as the door isn't sliding wood with rice paper.

Once the entered the building it seemed rather... more like a house then a broadcast station. If this was Mer's Hideout then he must live here too. It would make sense. As Kenjin check the lower floors; Dante went up to the 2nd floor and looked around. He found all kinds of things. Pictures covered the walls. Pictures of people in the city, and what looked to be a list of Benedict and Rebels. It had a list of their powers also. “I think we found the place, but where is---” Dante heard the sound of glass breaking. He ran down to the 1st floor and saw a skiny man with a somewhat pale face; he wore blue jeans, a long sleeve shirt cover by a short sleeved one. He had on some small glasses and in his right hand aimed at Kenjin was a gun. A .9mm pistol thingyed and loaded.

“Whoever the hell you guys are... How ever you found this place... I can't let you leave alive... It MUST remain hidden.” He fired the gun at Kenjin and turned it to Dante next. Kenjin went down, the bullet hit his chest. “Are you Mer?” Dante asked with his emotionless look.

“Do you even care that I killed your friend?”

“I would if you had killed him.”

“Wha--” Before the man could speak fully a blade was up to his throat and Kenjin stood behind him. “Are you Mer.” Sometime it was Kenjin asking. Meanwhile, I need to get back to my business.” Kenjin and Dante were both whiling to stay, but when he said business that left many questions. Normally when someone says they need to get back to business; it would mean nothing to them. However when Mer walked from the 2nd floor in a suit and went out to a high price car. They started to wonder.

After Mer had left. Kenjin went out to the back of the station to have a look around. Meanwhile Dante thought he would look around Mer's 2nd floor again. There was a room that he saw last time, but didn't go in. As he walked up the stair way he started to think. Why is in a room with the name 'Sarah' on the door. Surely no one else lives with him.
